The DAF XF, XG and XG+ Electric trucks are driven by the powerful PACCAR EX-D1 and EX-D2 electric motors, with outputs from 170 to 350 kW. The powershift technology uses two e-motors to smooth out torque differences during gear changes. This results in seamless shifting and gives DAF electric trucks a unique and effortless driving experience.

Our development teams have exploited the new European masses and dimensions regulations to the full, creating extraordinarily aerodynamic cabs. Curved windscreens, tapered sidewalls, roof air deflectors, aero seal, collars, sideskirts, bottom plates and closed wheel bay covers all help reduce drag by guiding wind round, through and under the vehicle.
DAF One Pedal Drive
In order to maximize efficiency, DAF One Pedal Drive functionality can be engaged to use the electric motor for recuperating energy when braking. When regenerative braking is activated through the right-hand stalk, the truck can be controlled by just using the accelerator pedal. The effect of the pedal stroke position will vary depending on driving conditions to make the one pedal driving feel as smooth and intuitive as possible. The maximum amount of available braking power has three levels: 33%, 67%, or 100% of the maximum motor power, and can be manually adjusted using the right-hand stalk.
Key to uptime is getting your energy recharged as quickly and efficient as possible. There are multiple ways to achieve this. DAF Electric vehicles come with the industry standard CCS2 charging sockets to facilitate quick charging. DAF Electric includes an AC charging solution (22 kW) as well as fast charging options ranging from 150 to 325 kW. Charging 80% can be achieved in 45 minutes (for a 420 kWh battery pack), keeping you on the road as much as possible! Thanks to flexible and modular packaging of the batteries on the chassis, the DAF Electric trucks offer industry leading bodybuilder friendliness. Battery packs can be optimally tuned to the vehicles' application, leaving ample space for side loader superstructures and crane legs for instance. A 25, 60 or 100 kW Electric Power Take-Off (ePTO) is optionally available for the XF, XG and XG+ Electric.
