At DAF Trucks Ireland, we are extremely proud to share that the DAF XD and XF Electric trucks have been elected International Truck of the Year 2026. To mark the new electric vehicles’ victory, Jarlath Sweeney, Editor at Fleet Transport magazine and Irish ITOY jury member, presented John McCann, Sales Manager at DAF Trucks Ireland, with the replica trophy at our headquarters at Baldonnell, Dublin.
The receipt of the trophy recognises our commitment to the electrification of fleets across the industry and Ireland, and highlights the quality of this new range of DAF trucks, a product we distribute with pride.
Refined powertrains, advantageous LFP battery technology and superior driving comfort placed the DAF XD and XF Electric as the jury’s top choice for the 50th International Truck of the Year.
