Donovan Transport, a family run haulage business based in Barronstown, Tipperary, has honoured their founder with a new special commemorative DAF XG+.
The container haulage specialist – with a fleet of over thirty tractor units and eighty trailers – has recently celebrated their 60th anniversary and wanted to mark the occasion through the purchase of a premium-spec New Generation DAF XG+, complete with specialist paintjob honouring the founder of Donovan Transport, the late Denis (Dinny) Donovan.
Denis’ grandson and Director of Donovan Transport, Paul Donovan, commented: “When we saw the truck for the first time at DAF Cork, we were overwhelmed. The detail on the back is unbelievable!”. The eye-catching graphics in question were completed by Steen Commercials Limited, Dungannon and Nik at Blowdesigns.
The new DAF XG+ was supplied by John O’Mahony, who sold Dinny Donovan his first DAF Truck in the 1960s, with Donovan Transport’s commitment to the DAF brand now spanning over three generations. John O’Mahony commented: “Donovan Transport Ltd has been a fantastic customer for many years, and it has been fantastic to see the special paintjob of Denis Donovan come to life.”
The DAF XG+ continues to impress the drivers at Donovan Transport with reliability, spacious cabs and fuel efficiency all drawing praise. Paul Donovan explained: “We continue to choose DAF due to their wide understanding of our needs as a business, built through our longstanding relationship.”
